Everybody's Going Glamping!

Barely a week goes by when I don't hear the phrase "It's just like camping, but with all of the luxuries we deserve"! Yet, it was only recently that I was introduced to the word "Glamping". For the uninitiated, glamping is Glamour Camping. Yep, you got it - Camping with all of the perks. When you reminisce about the best times in your childhood I can guarantee there is a moment there where you can smell the camp fire and almost taste the marshmallows. The giddy heights of the Milky Way looming above you as you lie on your back trying to pick out the constellations and the bright surge of the flashlight sweeping up into the branches as you search for that elusive possum. But the mind has a way of blocking out those very uncomfortable memories, those of the rock hard floor of the tent, or the soggy wet mess you found yourself in after a freakish downpour that could only happen on the weekend you went away. Not to mention the sheer embarrassment of sharing a shower block when it seems like you've forgotten all of your toiletries! All of this within a short walk to the CBD or less than a 2km drive for those last minute supplies.
